Reduced iron powder:
Reduced iron powder is a kind of gray or black powder mainly containing elemental iron, also known as "double absorbent", which is generally produced by reducing ferroferric oxide in hydrogen gas flow or carbon monoxide gas flow under high heat conditions. Because the reduced iron powder itself is powdery and its microstructure is very loose, its surface area is huge, and it can absorb moisture and oxygen in the air. It is often used for food preservation and as a high-quality reducing agent in chemical production and laboratory operations.
Generally speaking, reduced iron powder uses solid or gaseous reductant (coke, charcoal, anthracite, water gas, converted natural gas, decomposed ammonia, hydrogen, etc.) to reduce iron oxide (iron concentrate, rolled steel scale, etc.) to prepare sponge-like iron. The high-quality iron powder produced by reduction method meets the standard, with Fe≥98%, carbon ≤0.01%, phosphorus and sulfur less than 0.03% and hydrogen loss of 0.1 ~ 0.2%.
The main uses are:
① As the raw material of powder metallurgy products, the consumption accounts for about 60 ~ 80% of the total consumption of iron powder;
② As the raw material of welding electrode, adding 10 ~ 70% iron powder to the coating can improve the welding process of covered electrode and significantly improve the deposition efficiency;
③As a spraying agent for flame cutting, when cutting steel products, spraying iron powder into oxygen-acetylene flame can improve cutting performance, expand the range of cutting steel and increase the cutting thickness;
④ It can also be used as reducing agent in organic chemical synthesis, ink carrier of copier, etc.
Application industry:
